Mike Rolling's Industry Experience
Mike was a partner at the London offices of Ernst and Young and Baker Tilly from 1993, before setting up Rollings and Co LLP.
He is an experienced Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioner. He has led teams, both in multi-jurisdictional complex restructurings and in more straightforward advisory and insolvency projects. Among many assignments, one of the most well known was as a Railway Administrator of Railtrack.
Generally he has been engaged on the following types of assignment:
- Advising Boards of Directors in financially struggling companies, generally and individually, on their responsibilities and duties, providing pragmatic advice to enable solutions to be agreed and implemented;
- Advising and supporting closure management strategies for underperforming and solvent companies;
- Restructuring groups of companies, much of it through members voluntary liquidations; and
- Acting as administrator, receiver and liquidator in many insolvencies, across various sectors, including financial services and property.
Mike was the Chairman of the General Technical Committee for the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and was on the DTI’s Evaluation Committee reviewing the effectiveness of the Enterprise Act 2002.
